Redemption Steps (Auto Warranty Registration – Sony Stores Only) 

1. Purchase eligible Sony products at Sony Stores (excluding marketplaces).
2. Warranty will be automatically registered 8 days after delivery of product.
3. Upon successful warranty registration 8 days after delivery of product, you will receive a Sony Loyalty Voucher in your My Sony Rewards account.
4. Present the Loyalty Voucher QR Code at the Sony Store from which you made the purchase.
5. After verifying the Redemption Code and the Serial Number of the purchased item with Sony Store personnel, you will be able to receive the Gift. 

Redemption Steps (Manual Warranty Registration) 

1. Purchase eligible Sony products at Authorised Retailers.  
2. Register the product online.
3. Receive a Sony Loyalty Voucher in your My Sony Rewards account within the next 10 minutes.
4. Present the Loyalty Voucher QR Code at the authorised dealer from whom you made the purchase.
5. After verifying the Redemption Code and the Serial Number of the purchased item with the Authorised Dealer, you will be able to receive the Gift. 

 
Terms & Conditions 

1. Sony is extending a complimentary gift (Customised LensCoat RainCoat Large Sleeve (Forest Camo)) to customers who purchase and successfully register their warranty online for SEL400800G Lens (the "Product(s)").  
2. The promotion is only valid from 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025 (inclusive of both dates).
3. All promotions are only applicable to purchases made with authorised dealers in Singapore. For the list of authorised dealers, please refer to https://www.sony.com.sg/section/retailshops. 
4. In order to qualify for the promotion, customers are required to register their warranty online for their Product(s) within 14 days from date of receipt of product. No extensions will be granted. Terms and Conditions for My Sony Rewards registration apply. Customers who are eligible for the Auto Warranty service do not need to register for their warranty.
5. Eligible customers who successfully register their warranty online will receive their My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher in their My Sony Rewards account within 10 minutes of registration, for the redemption of their complimentary gift.
6. Customers who are under the Auto Warranty service would have their warranty successfully registered in their account within 8 days upon date of delivery.  
7. Customer will thereafter receive My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher at their My Sony Rewards membership account for the redemption of their complimentary gift.
8. If customers do not receive their My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher within 14 days of successful warranty registration, please contact our Customer Contact Centre  during operating hours (Monday – Friday, 1000hrs - 1700hrs excluding Public Holidays). Queries on this issue after 30 April 2025 will not be entertained. 
9. Please utilise the voucher before the expiry date stated in the My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher. No delivery service will be provided for the redemption.  
   
10. Sony is not responsible for undelivered, misdirected (due to incorrect email address), of the My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher. Requests for the replacement of the Sony Authorised Redemption Email will not be entertained.  
11. All complimentary gift are available while stocks last.

Go long with the first¹ α Lens: 400-800 mm super-telephoto zoom

The FE 400-800mm F6.3-8 G OSS is the first¹ α Lens to cover a 400 mm to 800 mm super-telephoto range. An optional 2x teleconverter can extend maximum focal length to 1600 mm. The internal zoom means the length of the lens does not change, and the centre of gravity stays within a small range for stable handling. Smooth, easy zoom ring rotation allows precise zooming, while careful design prevents accidental focal length changes.

Cutting-edge optical design gives high resolution and natural bokeh throughout the zoom range

Six ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements effectively control chromatic aberration. Flare and ghosting in backlit conditions are also thoroughly suppressed. An 11-blade circular aperture helps to create beautiful ball bokeh amid exceptionally smooth, creamy background bokeh when shooting with a narrow depth of field.

Fast, precise AF captures even fast-moving subjects

Two precision linear motors drive the lens’s focus group for fast, accurate focusing. Tracking easily keeps up with the 120 fps² maximum burst speed of the α9 III, and continues uninterrupted even while zooming so important moments are not lost. A focus-range limiter (FULL / 10m-NEAR / ∞-8m) can be used to optimize operation for different subject distances. Focus breathing is suppressed for refined movie quality and quiet operation expands the gamut of possible applications.

Solid support for handheld or tripod-mounted shooting

The optically stabilised FE 400-800mm F6.3-8 G OSS extends to 800 mm, but weighs just 2475 g (87.4 oz) and can be used handheld without shake-induced blur. Stabilization is even better with an α body that includes image stabilization. When using a tripod, the mount foot can be quickly rotated for horizontal or vertical orientation. Durable components, optimized balance, and a non-removable foot maximize reliability and performance.

High-level control and reliability for any situation

Three focus hold buttons at 90° increments around the barrel allow easy access in any orientation. Other functions can be assigned to the buttons as needed. Internal zoom and a dust/moisture resistant³ design maximize reliability. The front element has a fluorine coating that repels contaminants and makes the lens easier to clean. The lens hood is a new design with a lock button and filter opening for easy operation.
