Redemption Steps (Auto Warranty Registration – Sony Stores Only) 

1. Purchase eligible Sony products at Sony Stores (excluding marketplaces).
2. Warranty will be automatically registered 8 days after delivery of product.
3. Upon successful warranty registration 8 days after delivery of product, you will receive a Sony Loyalty Voucher in your My Sony Rewards account.
4. Present the Loyalty Voucher QR Code at the Sony Store from which you made the purchase.
5. After verifying the Redemption Code and the Serial Number of the purchased item with Sony Store personnel, you will be able to receive the Gift. 

Redemption Steps (Manual Warranty Registration) 

1. Purchase eligible Sony products at Authorised Retailers.  
2. Register the product online.
3. Receive a Sony Loyalty Voucher in your My Sony Rewards account within the next 10 minutes.
4. Present the Loyalty Voucher QR Code at the authorised dealer from whom you made the purchase.
5. After verifying the Redemption Code and the Serial Number of the purchased item with the Authorised Dealer, you will be able to receive the Gift. 

 
Terms & Conditions 

1. Sony is extending a complimentary gift (Leofoto MT-04 + LH-30R Mini-Tripod Kit) to customers who purchase and successfully register their warranty online for SEL16F18G Lens (the "Product(s)").  
2. The promotion is only valid from 1 March 2025 to 31 March 2025 (inclusive of both dates).
3. All promotions are only applicable to purchases made with authorised dealers in Singapore. For the list of authorised dealers, please refer to https://www.sony.com.sg/section/retailshops. 
4. In order to qualify for the promotion, customers are required to register their warranty online for their Product(s) within 14 days from date of receipt of product. No extensions will be granted. Terms and Conditions for My Sony Rewards registration apply. Customers who are eligible for the Auto Warranty service do not need to register for their warranty.
5. Eligible customers who successfully register their warranty online will receive their My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher in their My Sony Rewards account within 10 minutes of registration, for the redemption of their complimentary gift.
6. Customers who are under the Auto Warranty service would have their warranty successfully registered in their account within 8 days upon date of delivery.  
7. Customer will thereafter receive My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher at their My Sony Rewards membership account for the redemption of their complimentary gift.
8. If customers do not receive their My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher within 14 days of successful warranty registration, please contact our Customer Contact Centre  during operating hours (Monday – Friday, 1000hrs - 1700hrs excluding Public Holidays). Queries on this issue after 30 April 2025 will not be entertained. 
9. Please utilise the voucher before the expiry date stated in the My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher. No delivery service will be provided for the redemption.  
   
10. Sony is not responsible for undelivered, misdirected (due to incorrect email address), of the My Sony Rewards Loyalty Voucher. Requests for the replacement of the Sony Authorised Redemption Email will not be entertained.  
11. All complimentary gift are available while stocks last.  
12. Sony reserves the right to replace the complimentary gift with another item of similar value as determined by Sony at its sole discretion.

Two AA (Advanced Aspherical) lens minimise field curvature and astigmatism for stunning image-wide resolution at all apertures. One Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element and three ED elements suppress chromatic aberration right out to the image periphery, while an optimised coating minimises flare and ghosting. This is an ideal lens for creating dynamic, spectacularly resolved wide-angle perspectives.

This G Lens delivers stunning bokeh with its large F1.8 maximum aperture, 11-blade circular iris, and carefully controlled spherical aberration. Close-up performance is excellent with a minimum focus distance of 0.15 m / 0.5 ft and maximum magnification of 0.25x when using AF (0.13 m / 0.43 ft, 0.30x for MF). All of this makes it possible to capture unique wide-angle perspectives with deep, exquisite bokeh.

The use of aspherical lens elements, including Sony’s high-precision AA (Advanced Aspherical) lens, has made it possible to create a full-frame ultra-wide lens that is a compact 73.8 x 75 mm (3 x 3 inch) and weighs just 304 g (10.8 oz). It is small, lightweight, and mobile while delivering spectacular imaging performance for a wide range of subjects including landscapes, architecture, night scenes, and more.

Two XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors ensure fast, precise AF and tracking. A control algorithm developed specifically for the XD linear motors achieves enhanced response that largely negates delay and vibration that can occur when driving a large focus group, for exceptionally quiet, low-vibration operation. All of this makes it possible to capture important moments when shooting active, fast-moving subjects.

Advanced lens technology reduces focus breathing so that changes in angle of view are minimised for smooth movie footage. The breathing compensation function provided in compatible α bodies is also supported, and in-body Active Mode image stabilisation can make it easy to capture stable wide-angle movie imagery while walking. The lens accepts standard 67 mm filters, and is easy to balance on a gimbal.

A focus ring, focus hold button, focus mode switch, aperture ring, and iris lock switch are provided. Alternative functions can be assigned to the focus hold button. The aperture ring provides hands-on control, while a click ON/OFF switch adds versatility. A focus mode switch allows instant autofocus/manual switching. A dust and moisture resistant design and fluorine front-element coating maximise reliability.
