Terms & Conditions:
('You', "the Renter" means the natural person loaning the Product from COMPANY and as indicated on the Rental Agreement; COMPANY shall mean Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.)
- Late Penalty Charge. Renter agrees to pay the Late Penalty Charge for the responding camera, ZV-E10M2K (“Product”) to the COMPANY in the manner as set forth in the Annex A attached hereto. Unless otherwise agreed, payment shall be due upon collection of the Product at Sony Store, 313@Somerset or One Holland Village. Rental Deposit is only valid for Camera body and Kit lens, no further lens will be included in the rental.
- Renter Eligibility and Collections. Only Singapore citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents and residents holding work permit with at least 6 months validity remaining, who are above 18 years of age are eligible to loan the Product from the Company. Unless otherwise further informed by COMPANY, no prior reservation for the Product is accepted. Each Renter is strictly allowed to loan one (1) unit of the camera only. Each Renter shall not rent the same Product within the same month, and there shall be at least 5 days apart between each rental. The camera rental transaction (both pick-up and return) will be done physically via Sony Store, 313@Somerset or One Holland Village and is based on first-come-first-serve basis. Verification is required at point of rental at counter at Sony Store, 313@Somerset or One Holland Village. Renter has to present a valid photo ID (such as passport, driving license or photo ID card) upon collection of the Product. If COMPANY has reasonable doubts about the authenticity of the ID of the Renter, the Company shall be entitled to reject the rental application without any refund. Upon the Company’s request, the Renter furnish the Company with a security deposit which will be held by the Company during the Rental Term and shall be refunded to the Renter upon the return of the Product in satisfactory condition. For the avoidance of any doubt, the Company reserves the right to set off the Security Deposit, in whole or in part against any cost for the repair and/or replacement of the Product, in accordance with the terms and condition of this Agreement.
- Responsibility for Product, Indemnity and Assumption of Risk. Upon acceptance by Renter of the Product on a will-call basis, Renter agrees to inspect the Product at the time of acceptance. All defects or malfunctions must be reported to COMPANY at the time of collection. Renter shall hold COMPANY harmless and indemnify COMPANY from all claims, liabilities, damages, costs or losses arising from or related to injury or damage to the Product or to persons or property arising from or related to the use, maintenance, storage or transport of the Product during the period of rental. Renter shall indemnify and hold COMPANY harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs or losses arising from claims against the Product asserted by Renter's creditors. Renter acknowledges there is a risk of losses, injuries or damages arising from or related to the use or transportation of the Product and assumes all risk of such losses, injuries or damages. Renter releases COMPANY from any and all responsibility or liability for such losses, injuries or damages which Renter may experience arising from or related to the failure, use, maintenance, storage or transport of the Product.
- Returns and No Damages. Renter agrees to return the Product in the same condition as received, which shall include the original condition of the Product including, but not limited to lens covers, and original packaging as received. COMPANY's acceptance of the return of the Product is not a waiver by COMPANY of any claims it may have against Renter, including claims for latent damage to the Product. If repairs or replacements are required, Renter agrees to pay all labour, material and shipping charges. COMPANY will collect back the Product, assess and charge the Renter any cost accordingly. If any part of Product is deemed beyond repair, then the Product, in whole or part, will be deemed sold to customer at full SRP. COMPANY may charge Renter the Late Penalty Charge as set out in the Annex A attached hereto. In the event that customer or/and lens cannot be located at any time during the rental term, COMPANY reserves the right to report the resolve using any legal means, including reporting the matter to the regulatory authorities, including the Singapore Police Force.
- Title to Goods. The Product is the sole and exclusive property of COMPANY and Renter has no right, title or interest therein, except as set forth in this Rental Agreement. Renter will not alter ownership markings on the Product. Renter will keep the Product free from the claims of third parties.
- Term of Service. The Rental Period is five (5) days including both pick-up & return day. Each Renter only applies for one (1) Rental Period and strictly no extension is allowed. Pick-up and return of Product is daily (from Monday to Sunday) during Sony Store, 313@Somerset (operation hours : 11am to 8pm) or One Holland Village, ( operating hours :11am to 9pm). The Renter shall collect the Product on date specified in the Rental Form.
- Personal Information. The Renter understand and consent’s to the retention and use of that the Renter’s personal information by COMPANY The Renter grants the Company consent to share the personal information with the COMPANY's service partner acting on its behalf for administration purpose in connection with this Rental Agreement pursuant to the Company’s Data Protection Policy (www.sony.com.sg/microsite/privacypolicy). The Renter understand and consent to the access, use and processing of the personal information by COMPANY and its authorized service providers and provided content in order to perform related services pursuant to this Rental Agreement.
- Governing Law, Venue. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and Renter agrees that all disputes shall be resolved in Singapore.
