TERMS & CONDITIONS
- The “Win Your Purchase Back” (“Giveaway”) is organised by Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Sony”). By participating in this Giveaway, participants agree to be bound by the following terms & conditions (“Terms & Conditions”).
QUALIFYING PERIOD
- This Giveaway shall apply to purchases made between 16 May 2024 ,00:00H to 30 Jun 2024, 23:59H (SGT), both dates inclusive (“Qualifying Period”).
- Sony reserves the right to change the Qualifying Period without notice.
ELIGIBILITY
- Participants must be at least 18 years old , a resident of Singapore and an existing My Sony Rewards member.
- Participants must not be an employee, an immediate family member of an employee and/or living in the same household as an employee or immediate family member of an employee, of Sony and its affiliates or any advertising and/or promotion agency of Sony.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- To join, participants are required to make one (1) eligible purchase of Sony products during the Qualifying Period at Sony Store Online in Singapore. An eligible purchase is deemed as a purchase of a Sony product that is paid for and successfully delivered (the “Qualifying Purchase”). Any purchase that is cancelled or refunded (in whole or part) by or before the Draw Date will not be deemed as an eligible purchase and will be .
- Each participant may make multiple order during the Qualifying Period and each order will be counted as a separate entry (“an Entry”) in the Giveaway draw.
- The participant with the winning Entry for the Giveaway (the “Winning Entry”) will be determined solely by a random draw which will take place in Singapore on 15 July 2024 at 15:00H (SGT) (the “Draw Date”). The Draw Date may be changed by Sony and shall be subject to the prevailing regulations and guidance on Safe Management Measures for COVID-19.
PRIZES
- Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the participant with the Winning Entry (the “Winner”) will win the value of the Qualifying Purchase (the “Prize”), up to SGD$3,000, in the form of reimbursement.
- If the value of the Qualifying Purchase exceeds SGD$3,000, the value of the Prize will be limited to SGD$3,000. If the value of the Qualifying Purchase is less than SGD$3,000, the value of the Prize will be limited to the amount reflected on the invoice of the Qualifying Purchase.
- For avoidance of doubt, the value of the Qualifying Purchase will be calculated based on final amount paid after deduction of any discounts, vouchers, or any applicable promotions.
- The Prize is non-exchangeable and is not redeemable for credit or other prizes. Sony reserves the right to, at any time and in its sole and absolute discretion, replace and/or substitute the Prize with any other item of a similar value.
- The Winner will be notified via email within seven (7) calendar day after the Draw Date (the “Notification Email”) using the contact information provided to Sony. Each participant is solely responsible for the accuracy of the contact information provided to Sony.
- The Winner must reply to the Notification Email to verify the purchase and acknowledge the acceptance of refund within 14 calendar days after being notified. If the Winner fails to acknowledge the Notification Email within 14 calendar days, the prize will be deemed as forfeited. Sony accepts no responsibility or liability if the Winner cannot be contacted and/or in the event that the Winner does not collect the prize within the stipulated period for any reason whatsoever.
- By accepting the prize the Winner consents to allowing Sony the perpetual use of his or her name, image, voice and/or likeness for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.
- By accepting the prize the Winner releases and discharges Sony from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the Winner may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) this Giveaway, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the Winner as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to this Giveaway, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.
- The receipt of any prize under this Giveaway is conditional upon compliance with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- The Winner is responsible for any applicable tax in connection with the prizes. If any tax is applicable to the prize and such tax is (i) required to be withheld by Sony and (ii) permitted to be withheld from the payment under any applicable tax convention, the amount of such tax shall be deducted from the prize by Sony.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
- By participating in this Giveaway participants acknowledge, in respect of any personal information disclosed by the participant to Sony or obtained by Sony from the participant, that:
- (A) The participant is authorised to disclose such personal information; and
- (B) Such disclosure complies with any privacy legislation from any country, within the geographical scope of this Giveaway, and the use of such personal information by Sony as contemplated by this Giveaway (including, without limitation, the disclosure of such personal information to Sony's external agencies or third parties).
- By participating in the Giveaway, the participant consents to the following:
- (A) to the use of the participant’s personal information, without compensation, for Sony’s promotional and marketing purposes;
- (B) to the use of the participant’s personal information, without compensation, for the purpose of administration in relation to the Giveaway; and
- (C) to the use of the participant’s personal information, without compensation, for any and all purposes set out in the Data Protection Policy of Sony at https://www.sony-asia.com/microsite/privacypolicy/sg/ (“Privacy Policy”)
GENERAL
- Sony reserves the right to disqualify the winner or revoke any prizes awarded if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the Winner has breached these Terms and Conditions, or on any grounds as Sony may in its sole discretion decide.
- Sony’s decisions on all matters relating to the Giveaway shall be final and binding.
- Sony reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary these terms and conditions without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extend, terminating or suspending this Giveaway, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and number of winners, and the timing of any act to be done, and you agree to be bound by such amendments.
- Sony shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of, or in connection with the Giveaway and/or redemption or use of the Prizes howsoever arising, including but not limited to, fulfillment of the prize, any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected and/or lost in the post, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by Sony of this Giveaway shall not entitle any party to any claim or compensation against Sony for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
- Each participant warrants to indemnify Sony against any and all claims in relation to his/her participation of this Giveaway and breach of its Terms and Conditions contained herein. Sony’s rights are hereby expressly reserved.
- In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Giveaway, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
- The Terms and Conditions of this Giveaway shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
